The legendary Frank Lloyd Wright, architect and famous stained glass
designer, called his stained glass windows
"Light Screens." Most of his windows have nearly transparent backgrounds.
They let in the light, but "screen out" the view.
One of the most compelling reasons for owning a stained glass window is to
obscure a window view that is not so good, the neighbor's house, for
example. They give you privacy, without the use of blinds or curtains.
Stained glass windows make great room dividers, and make beatiful door
elements, or even ceiling lights.
